Alex Reyes Shut Down With Shoulder Soreness
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Alex Reyes (shoulder) experienced shoulder soreness during his throwing session this past week. As a result, he has been shut down from throwing. Reyes underwent an MRI and the team is currently seeking a second opinion on him. Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol stated that this development for Reyes was "very" discouraging. The 27-year-old has yet to make his 2022 debut. He was diagnosed with a frayed labrum prior to the start of the year and had been working his way back. With this recent development, it looks like Reyes could be missing much more time than we originally thought. We expect to have more clarity on Reyes' updated timeline soon.
