Alex Reyes Picks Up Save No. 20 On Wednesday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Alex Reyes saved his 20th game of the season in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Reyes threw a scoreless ninth inning with a three-run lead, so it was an easy save, but it counts the same on the score sheet. In his one inning, Reyes allowed one hit and recorded one strikeout, lowering his ERA to 0.96. There are still regression and injury concerns attached to Reyes, but it's getting harder and harder to argue with his results.
