4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Alex Reyes picked up his first save of the season in Monday's win over the Miami Marlins. Reyes pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing just one hit in the process. All the talk this spring was about whether Giovanny Gallegos or Jordan Hicks would close for the Cardinals, but it looks like Reyes is the guy in the ninth inning, at least for now. The Cardinals want to be extra careful with the fragile righty, so he may not end up pitching in too many back-to-back games, leaving save chances for either Hicks or Gallegos to collect. Still, Reyes is the one to roster from the St. Louis pen in most fantasy leagues right now.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
