Alex Ovechkin, T.J. Oshie Combine For Four Goals Vs. Ottawa
5 years agoWashington Capitals wingers Alex Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie both scored twice in Tuesday's big 6-1 victory over Ottawa.
Ilya Samsonov extended his winning streak to seven games with 26 saves. The Caps have heated up again lately, winning three straight with Oshie playing a huge role in the victories by notching five points. He is riding a four-game point streak ahead of Wednesday's battle with the Flyers. Ovechkin, who has 59 points in 54 career games against Philly, has finished pointless just once in his last seven appearances. The veteran winger has been in great form throughout the season with 42 points in 44 games, although his plus/minus could be a lot better. He improved it with a plus-three on Tuesday, but it's still at an ugly minus-10 for the whole season.
