The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward prospect Alex Nylander from the Rochester Americans. Nylander will have a chance in the last week of the regular season to get a few more NHL games under his belt and show that he’s ready for a spot on Buffalo's roster. In four NHL games last season, Nylander tallied just one assist and averaged just over 12 minutes of ice time. This season in the AHL, Nylander has nearly matched his rookie points total (26 compared to 28 in 2016-17) in 17 fewer games. Keep an eye on the former first-round pick this week. If things go well, Nylander might be worth a look in the late rounds of fantasy drafts next year.--Kevin AcornRead More News
