Alex Noren Hopes to Rebound After Poor Masters Showing
7 years agoAlex Noren will tee it up for the first time since his failed Masters performance. Noren shot a nine-over par, missing the cut by four strokes. The 35-year-old Noren has nine wins on the European Tour but has yet to capture his first win on the PGA Tour. Noren, who is the 17th-ranked player in the world, has been knocking on the door all season long and one would think his first win has to be on the horizon. This will be Noren's second appearance in his career at Quail Hollow. His only other showing came during the 2017 PGA Championship, where he finished in a tie for 67th. The Swede ranks 40th in the field this week for strokes gained off the tee over his last 24 rounds and 42nd in driving distance.
