Alex Nedeljkovic Faces High-Scoring Panthers
4 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic will be between the pipes in Monday's road contest against Florida. He enters the matchup with a 2-2-1 record and has a 2.39 goals-against average for the year with a .914 save percentage and one shutout. Nedeljkovic is an inexperienced netminder and he faces a team that's scoring 3.20 goals per game, so he will be a risky choice in goal for Monday's slate. Although it's been a favorable matchup for the Hurricanes in recent years, with Florida managing only three wins in the past 12 meetings.

Alex Nedeljkovic Facing New York On Friday
1 month agoAccording to Josh Getzoff of the Pittsburgh Penguins, goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic will get the starting nod on Friday evening against the New York Rangers. Nedeljkovic has started each of their previous four contests and will continue to operate as the clear No. 1 option in the Pittsburgh crease. While Tristan Jarry has been in the AHL, Nedeljkovic has seen most of the starts, with rookie Joel Blomqvist slotting in as the No. 2. Over his previous four outings, Nedeljkovic has held a 2-1-1 record with a stellar 1.46 GAA and a .942 percent SV. He has stopped at least 26 shots in two of these contests. Overall, Nedeljkovic holds an 11-9-5 record with a .899 percent SV and a 2.97 GAA. Even though he has begun to turn the corner, he is a risky play in DFS as the Penguins will be without both Sidney Crosby (upper body) and Evgeni Malkin (lower body) in this contest.

Alex Nedeljkovic Sharp In Monday's Victory
2 months agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced en route to defeating the Los Angeles Kings on Monday evening. The Penguins got out to an early three-goal lead, which put Nedeljkovic in a good position. His lone mistake came in the second period when Adrian Kempe scored on the power-play with a wrist shot. This was another sharp outing for Nedeljkovic as he allowed just two goals on 42 shots in his previous start on January 17 over the Buffalo Sabres. In this game, he tallied the victory and also scored an empty-netter. Prior to this two-game winning streak, the 29-year-old was riding a 1-1-1 record with a 4.85 GAA and a .868% SV over his previous three. Fantasy managers should expect Nedeljkovic to continue to operate as the top goaltender in Pittsburgh, with Tristan Jarry now in the AHL. Rookie Joel Blomqvist will be the No.2 option.

Alex Nedeljkovic Faces Rangers On Friday
3 months agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic will get the nod for Friday's matchup against the Rangers. He will log his 12th start of the campaign as Pittsburgh kicks off a back-to-back. Tristan Jarry appears set to battle the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Nedeljkovic has gone 2-1-1 over his last four starts, beating Calgary 6-2 with a 30-save effort in his previous appearance. However, he's mostly struggled during the season, putting together a 4-4-3 record with a 3.31 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage. It's a meeting between a slumping and a surging team at Madison Square Garden, as the Penguins are riding a four-game winning streak, and the Rangers have gone 1-6-0 in their past seven outings.
