Alex Lange Secures Save No. 4
2 years agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Alex Lange allowed one walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save during Game 1 of Wednesday's 6-5 win over the New York Mets. He entered the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 27-year-old tossed a scoreless inning to earn his fourth save of the season. He has now thrown 10 straight scoreless innings and hasn't allowed a run since April 9. Lange is 4-for-5 in save opportunities with a 1.32 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and a 16:6 K: BB across 13 2/3 innings in 2023. Lange is Detroit's primary closer, and fantasy managers should continue to roll with him in all league formats.
