Alex Lange Earns Ninth Save
1 year agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Alex Lange allowed just one run in the ninth inning, picking up the save in a 6-4 win Wednesday over the Kansas City Royals. Starting with a three-run lead, Lange faced some challenges as he hit the leadoff batter and later allowed a double with one out, putting two runners in scoring position. Despite this, he managed to limit the damage by giving up only a sacrifice fly, which brought in a run. The right-hander has accumulated nine saves this season and has an excellent 1.27 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts across 21 1/3 frames.
