Alex Lange Completes Save Number Seven On Sunday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Alex Lange locked up his seventh save of the season on Sunday after pitching the ninth inning of the 5-3 win over the Seattle Mariners. He walked two but matched it with two punchouts and didn't allow a hit. Lange now owns a 1.06 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 33.8% strikeout rate this year over 17 innings. The 27-year-old won't be as dominant in the run prevention department for the whole season, considering his 3.48 xFIP, but fantasy managers can trust that the right-hander will provide value in four categories for the remainder of 2023 as the Tigers main arm out of the bullpen.
