Alex Kirilloff To Miss Opening Of Season
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff (wrist) will miss the beginning of the 2023 season. Kirilloff was completely derailed in 2022 after dealing with some wrist issues that culminated in season-ending surgery. He has been playing in minor-league spring games, but the Twins aren't ready to take the next step toward his return. Once he feels comfortable at the plate and gets a couple more at-bats, he should be ready to return to the day-to-day lineup. The 25-year-old is yet to have a healthy season since turning pro in 2021, and his career has not gotten off to a promising start. He's played just 104 games since becoming a major leaguer and fantasy managers are beginning to doubt his ability to stay on the field. Kirilloff has a career line of .251/.295/.398 with 11 HRs and a .694 OPS.
