Alex Kirilloff Reinstated From Injured List
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/first baseman Alex Kirilloff (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list on Friday ahead of the contest against the Cleveland Indians. Kirilloff has been sidelined since May 3 with a sprained left wrist, though his recovery went rather smoothly, as he managed to avoid surgery that was initially feared as a possibility. Kirilloff answered any questions about the status of his wrist quickly during his rehab assignment with the Triple-A St. Paul Saints, going 3-for-6 with two home runs and three RBI. Kirilloff has an active seven-game hitting streak dating back to May 3, during which he's batting .321 with four home runs and 11 RBI. Fantasy managers need to make sure he's activated and in their lineups Friday, as he's likely to be in the Twins' starting nine against Indians' right-hander Triston McKenzie. McKenzie ranks in the bottom two percent of the league in barrel rate and hard-hit rate, as well as the 24th-percentile in expected slugging.
