Alex Kirilloff Placed On 10-Day Injured List
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/first baseman Alex Kirilloff (wrist) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right wrist on Wednesday. Kirilloff was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to wrist soreness- and manager Rocco Baldelli said that the issue was a step up from a minor one, so it's not particularly surprising that he'll be forced to miss some time. The 23-year-old prospect was slated to see a hand specialist on Wednesday and fortunately avoided a fracture, though this is not the first wrist injury he's had in his baseball career. The team activated Miguel Sano (hamstring) from the injured list. Hopefully, Kirilloff can return as soon as he's eligible, as he was raking at the dish.
