Alex Kirilloff Has Less Invasive Procedure Than Expected
1 year agoMinnesota Twins first baseman/outfielder Alex Kirilloff received good news when he went under the knife Wednesday. Reports are that Kirilloff had no tear in his labrum. Repairing a tear in the labrum could have kept the 25-year-old out close to a year, but he is now expected to have a typical offseason of strength and conditioning. He had the best season of his young career in 2023 but could not stay healthy — a theme during his brief time in the majors. The lefty appeared in 88 games and produced a .270/.348/.445 slash line, adding 11 home runs and 41 RBI. He's someone to keep an eye on when the 2024 season comes around, as he could be an excellent post-hype sleeper for some managers if healthy.
