7 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon (hip) is set to begin his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers on Friday. Gordon has been sidelined for the last 10 days with a labral tear in his hip, and Paulo Orlando has mostly filled in for him. The good news was that while Gordon's injury was initially thought to be more serious, it ended up not needing surgery. The bad news is that Gordon has already been bad before this injury, and hip injuries are usually lingering ones that hurt a player's offensive performance for months afterward.
