7 years agoTampa Bay Rays closer Alex Colome gave up the winning run Sunday versus the Red Sox. He came into a game tied at 3-3 and allowed the go-ahead run. It is his third loss already this season to go along with some blown saves. Colome recorded an MLB-leading 47 saves in 2017, but his overall numbers elsewhere weren't as impressive as his 2016 campaign. His strikeout and walk rates both went in the wrong direction, and his ERA jumped up more than a full run to 3.24 from 1.90 in 2016. He still should be owned in all leagues where saves are a category. He saved 84 games between 2016-17 while only blowing nine chances. However, his 2018 season is off to a rocky beginning.--Jamie Mellor
