7 years agoTampa Bay Rays closer Alex Colome took the loss Sunday versus the Blue Jays. He came into the ninth with the game tied 1-1 and the winning run scored on a wild pitch by Colome. The loss came a day after he had picked up his sixth save of the season. The loss was his fourth of the season already to go with his 5.17 ERA. It has been a rough season but Colome likely has a long leash as he tallied 84 saves the past two seasons. It is hard to recommend dropping him in leagues that reward saves given the unreliability in the league among retaining the role of closer.--Jamie Mellor
