Alex Colome Signs Deal With White Sox
2 years agoFree-agent relief pitcher Alex Colome has signed a minor-league contract with the Chicago White Sox. The 34-year-old was released by the Washington Nationals at the end of spring training. He'll look to bounce back after a horrendous 2022 campaign with the Colorado Rockies. Colome posted a career-worst 5.74 ERA in 53 games with the Rockies last season. However, the right-hander was excellent during his time with the White Sox in 2019-2020. During that span. Colome posted a 2.27 ERA with 42 saves in 83 games with the South Siders. The hope is that Colome can return to that level of play once again. For now, the expectation is that he'll head to the minors until the team feels he's ready to pitch.
