Alex Colome Secures Second Save On Saturday
3 years agoColorado Rockies pitcher Alex Colome allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out one across over an inning to secure the save in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. He entered the game in the ninth inning to protect a three-run lead. The right-hander surrendered a two-run triple to Austin Meadows, which reduced the Rockies' lead to 3-2. He struck out Harold Castro for the final out to notch his second save of the season. The 33-year-old is in the mix for save chances along with reliever Daniel Bard. Colome has converted both save opportunities while sporting a 6.35 ERA and 2.12 WHIP over 5 2/3 innings in 2022.
