Alex Colome Records Seventh Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Alex Colome notched his seventh save of the season in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the White Sox. For the fifth time this month, Colome was presented with a save chance- and he successfully shut the door for the fifth time, walking one and utilizing 14 pitches to get the job done. The veteran still has yet to allow a run in six August appearances, as he looked much better in his second stint as Minnesota's closer. Colome doesn't have nearly as much upside as other relievers, though the Twins seem to be playing better baseball, which should continue to afford him save chances. He's worth picking up by those who need saves for the stretch run.
