Alex Colome Logs Two-Inning Save Wednesday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Alex Colome notched his second save of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Tigers. Colome worked two innings, allowing one hit while striking out three batters. Aside from his blown save, the 32-year-old has been excellent, as he has yet to allow an earned run- three unearned- in four innings of work this season. It's an encouraging sign for Colome's fantasy value that he has been on the mound for all three of the Twins' traditional save chances to start 2021. With Colome pitching two innings and Hansel Robles pitching for the second straight day, it wouldn't be surprising to see Taylor Rogers or Tyler Duffey work the ninth if there's a save chance in Thursday's game.
