Alex Cobb Has Respectable Pitching Debut Thursday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Alex Cobb had a decent first start of the season in Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Yankees. Cobb pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits (including two solo home runs) and a walk with four strikeouts. Cobb was supposed to start the first game of the season against the Yankees but was delayed due to a minor groin injury. The 31-year-old was streamable at times last season but has a low ceiling due to his poor strikeout numbers. He will likely pitch next at home against a hot A's lineup. Fantasy players should avoid Cobb for now.
