Alex Cobb Gets Shelled By White Sox
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Alex Cobb got lit up on Wednesday to the tune of six earned runs in only 3 2/3 innings pitched. Cobb gave up eight hits, one of which was a three-run bomb to Yoan Moncada. The righty's ERA has now ballooned to 7.32 on the season, and his record sits at 1-6 for Baltimore this year. Cobb should be avoided as a starting pitcher in every league this year. However, it is wise to start opposing hitters against him at will, as Chicago is the AL's lowest run scoring team and still managed put up six runs against him on their way to an 11-1 route of the Orioles.
