3 years agoHouston Astros manager Dusty Baker is giving three of his top hitters a day of rest for Sunday's season finale against the Oakland Athletics. Alex Bregman, Yuli Gurriel and Yordan Alvarez are all out of the starting lineup for the game. Aledmys Diaz is covering third base with Marwin Gonzalez at first base and Jake Meyers at designated hitter. Gurriel, who is hitting .318 this year, will likely take the AL Batting Crown. He has a small lead on his teammate Michael Brantley, who is hitting .313 and playing on Sunday.
