Alex Bregman Slashing .278/.316/.444 In Spring
3 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman has played in six games this spring and seen 19 plate appearances. Over those six games, he's slashing .278/.316/.444 with three extra-base hits (all doubles). The 28-year-old was limited to 91 games last year, primarily due to a left quadriceps strain. He wasn't his usual self when on the field last year as he posted a career-low .777 OPS, hitting just 12 home runs and batting .270. His down year has led to him dropping significantly on draft boards this fall. He's currently ranked 95th overall by RotoBaller. He's just two years removed from a dominant 2019 season where he slashed .296/.423/.592 with 41 home runs, 112 RBI and 122 runs, so he certainly has the ability to be a steal at his current draft spot.
