Alex Bregman Goes Yard In Win
5 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman smacked his 37th home run of the season in the team's 4-1 win over the Rangers on Tuesday. Bregman is having a fantastic 2019 and is making a late run for MVP with the Angels Mike Trout sidelined for the rest of the season. Since August 1, Bregman is 57-for-147 (.388) with 11 home runs, 19 doubles, 38 runs scored and 42 runs batted in. The 25-year-old slugger may need one more hot streak to convince voters but his 1.004 OPS for the season will certainly earn him plenty of votes.
