2 years agoThe only reason Alex Bowman qualified 17th for Sunday's AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 is because he drove a corner a bit too fast. It's that simple. That little sideways adventure cost him about 10-15 spots honestly. However, he had top-five practice times all across the board and even his testing numbers were quite good. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver is often viewed as the fourth in the quartet. However, he may be under the radar here for Sunday. Bowman finishes in the top-five at just about one in every four intermediate track races (10 in his last 41). The No. 48 Chevy will move up fast on Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
