1 year agoAlex Bowman will start P12 in Sunday's 4EVER 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. While Bowman has shown promise at times throughout 2023, there is little to like about the 30-year-old at Miami this weekend. In his seven Cup starts at this venue, he has just two top-10 finishes, with an average overall finish of 20. Although average finishes can sometimes be skewed by mechanical failure or an unfortunate accident, in this case, the average is genuinely reflective of his performances as he has never had a DNF at this track. Even more troubling is that he has never raced here in the Next Gen car, as he had to miss last year's race because of injury. Given that this is a track that he has struggled at in the past, and that we have never seen him race the Next Gen car at this venue, it is best to fade the No. 48 in DFS this weekend.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
