2 years agoIf Alex Bowman wants to win again at Martinsville, he will need to come from the middle of the pack. Bowman did not show up to the track with a lot of speed during the practice session. Hendrick Motorsports brought some fast cars to practice, unfortunately, Bowman was not one of them. He was 25th at practice, only gaining a few spots as he put down more laps. Bowman qualified just ahead of teammate Chase Elliott, who returns this week for his first race since breaking his leg. Bowman will start 23rd. He has an average finish of 11.8 over the last six races at Martinsville and runs in the top 15, 91.8% of the race.--Eric DeWilde
