Alex Bowman Looking To Turn It Around At Texas
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman will start from the 12th position in Sunday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Bowman and the No. 88 team have been in a prolonged funk, only scoring three top-10 finishes in the last 12 races. Bowman hasn't lacked speed, but he just hasn't been as strong as he was earlier in the year. He also has had some bad luck finishing races. In nine starts at Texas, Bowman only has one top-10 finish, but it was a fifth-place run in the most recent race at the track. Bowman's cost in DFS is right around average, and he has a little upside for position differential. With the strength he showed on 1.5-mile tracks this year, Bowman should have a solid run on Sunday.
