2 years agoWe're already four races in to the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, and there is only one driver left that has yet to finish outside of the top 10 this year. With finishes of 5th at Daytona, 8th at Fontana, 3rd at Las Vegas, and 9th last weekend at Phoenix, Alex Bowman is now 4-for-4 to start out the year when it comes to good finishes. This had Bowman atop the points standings after Phoenix, but thanks to the points penalty to all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers from the confiscated louvers at Phoenix, Alex is now 23rd in the points standings. Still, it's been a very strong start to the season for Bowman and this #48 team, and it could very well be extended to five top 10 finishes in a row this weekend at Atlanta, as Bowman came home 10th in this race one year ago.--Jordan McAbee
