Alex Bowman Is A Strong Play
2 years agoAlex Bowman qualified for the Enjoy Illinois 300 in the 18th starting position. This is not indicative of the speed that he brought to the track in practice. He was 14th at the start of the practice session, however, as he put down more laps he began to shine. It only took to 10 laps for him to reach the top five in speed. Once he was there, he was able to maintain that speed as he ran more laps. When looking at a comparable track like Las Vegas, he ran a great race there with 28 fast laps and a third-place finish. Bowman is a strong play in the mid-range that one could feel safe with rostering this weekend.
