Alex Bowman Has Good DFS Upside at Atlanta
3 years agoAlex Bowman has a way of just showing up out of nowhere to do well at races like Atlanta. He started 14th in the first race and contended until very late finishing third. It is more than just that result, however. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver won the Saturday race at Pocono thanks to a Kyle Larson blown tire but Bowman was right up Larson's rear. Does he pass? Does he not? Does it matter? Bowman finds ways to contend. He starts 17th on Sunday and is 12th in the last three years on intermediate tracks. That ranking rises to ninth at Atlanta (12.5 average finish). Bowman is a risk worth looking into at least.
