1 year agoAlex Bowman has missed the last three NASCAR Cup Series races due to a back injury he suffered a month ago, but he will be returning to this #48 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend for the Coca-Cola 600. Unfortunately, Bowman will have some work to do, as he will have to start from back in 31st for the race due to qualifying being rained out on Saturday. That doesn't mean he's incapable of a good finish, though. Prior to his injury, Bowman was having the best season of his career, with an average finish of 10.3 through the first ten races of 2023. When asked about his return this weekend, Bowman stated, "I'm excited to be back. Hopefully, we can pick up where we left off and be strong right out of the gate."--Jordan McAbee
