1 month agoDeath, taxes, and...Alex Bowman finishing inside the top 10 at the Charlotte Roval? That sure seems to be the case. Through five starts at this race track, Bowman has a series-best average finish of 6.4 and has never had a result worse than 10th at the track. Could that streak be in jeopardy this weekend, though? If Bowman ends up points racing on Sunday (to increase his chances of advancing in the playoffs), we could see him end up outside of the top 10, but if you go by pure speed, the No. 48 Chevrolet looks pretty stout once again at the Charlotte Roval this weekend. In fact, all of the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets do. Bowman ranked sixth-fastest in 10-lap average during practice on Saturday afternoon and qualified 17th for this weekend's Bank of America Roval 400. He makes a solid Place Differential (and finishing position) play on DraftKings this weekend, especially priced at just $8,100. Looking at the last eight road course races, Bowman has finished eighth or better four times, including an eighth-place run here at the Charlotte Roval last season.--Jordan McAbee
