1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Alek Thomas is in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series, hitting seventh for the away team. Thomas will likely sit against a left-handed starter, such as Jordan Montgomery or Andrew Heaney, but he will likely start when a righty is on the mound. Thomas is an excellent defensive center fielder, credited with six outs above average this season, but has had his struggles at the plate.
