Alek Manoah Among Players Sent To Minors By Jays
4 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays sent 25 players to the minor league camp on Thursday, including starting pitcher and former first-round pick Alek Manoah. The hard-throwing righty made a huge impression this spring by dominating the Yankees in two appearances. Although he won't break camp with the Jays, he could possibly help the club late in the season. Infielder/outfielder Otto Lopez, catcher Gabriel Moreno, as well as pitchers Elvis Luciano, and Ty Tice were optioned down. Other key players sent down that are not on the 40-man roster include infielder Jordan Groshans, infielder/outfielder Austin Martin, and pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson.
