Alek Manoah Allows One Run Versus White Sox
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah was sharp in Monday's contest, allowing one run over six frames in the team's 2-1 win over the White Sox. The rookie was unfortunately stuck with a no-decision in this one as he surrendered five hits and three walks while striking out five in the 108-pitch effort. It was a nice bounce-back game for Manoah who had his worst start of his young career last week at the hands of the Nationals, so it was a positive to see him handle a formidable lineup like the White Sox. He'll take a crisp 3.18 ERA and 1.10 WHIP into his next start against the Detroit Tigers on the road.
