6 years agoAfter never playing first base in his professional career prior to 2019, Houston Astros infielder Aledmys Diaz will make his third start there Wednesday night against the Minnesota Twins. The 28-year-old will fill in for fellow Cuban Yuli Gurriel, who's having the night off. Diaz has played 10 games for the Astros this year, batting .222 with a home run and seven RBI. Gurriel, meanwhile, is batting .262 with a home run and eight RBI, coming off another strong year.--RDelgado
