Alec Mills Picks Up First Save
4 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Alec Mills converted his first save of the season on Monday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Mills was called upon after Craig Kimbrel pitched on Saturday and Sunday. Mills worked a 1-2-3 inning to earn the save and recorded one strikeout. Mills is a former starter, but lost his spot in the rotation to Adbert Alzolay and will remain in the bullpen for now. Despite picking up the save, Mills can be avoided in all formats.
