Alec Mills Picks Up First Loss
3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Alec Mills suffered his first loss of the season on Tuesday versus the New York Mets. Mills was recently activated from the 10-day injured list and filled in for starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay (blister). Mills went 4 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, three runs, two walks and struck out six on the evening. With Alzolay expected to return later this week, Mills will likely shift back to a bullpen role. Mills doesn't hold much value if he isn't starting and he can be avoided in all formats.
