2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Alec Burleson has made the Opening Day roster. The Charlotte native debuted for the Cardinals in 2022 but slashed a terrible line of .188/.264/.271 in 16 games. In 19 spring training games, the No. 91 prospect in the league went 16-for-58 with a home run and eight RBI. Burleson was one of the best hitters in the minors last year, winning the International League batting title in 2022 with a .331 batting average. However, he is merely a depth option for St. Louis, as their outfield already features the likes of Jordan Walker, Lars Nootbaar, Tyler O'Neill, and Dylan Carlson.--Pranav Uppalapati - RotoBaller
