Alec Burleson Goes Deep On Saturday
3 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman/outfielder Alec Burleson went 1-for-4 with a home run on Saturday afternoon. Burleson launched his 19th long ball of the season in the opening frame off Cubs right-hander Jameson Taillon. The 25-year-old has continued to enjoy a breakout campaign this summer. Through 103 games, the former East Carolina product sits with a strong .278/.314/.468 slash line, 64 RBI, and seven swiped bags. Under the hood, he holds an excellent 12.5% K rate, a .286 xBA, and a .466 xSLG, which are significantly above the average marks. Fantasy managers should continue to feel confident slotting Burleson into their lineup as he is slotted in the top half of the St. Louis batting order every day.
