2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Alec Burleson had another productive day at the plate at Triple-A on Saturday. He went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Burleson has been one of the best and most consistent hitters across all of the minors this year. Over 72 games at Triple-A, he's slashed .337/.380/.559 with 16 home runs, 62 RBI and 45 runs. He's certainly done everything he can to earn his first promotion to the majors, but it's unclear when that will happen. The Cardinals have a clogged outfield at this point in time. Despite the 23-year-old's impressive season at Triple-A, there's a chance he'll remain there for the extent of the 2022 season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
