Alec Bohm Slashing .213/.257/.310 On The Year
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm has continued to struggle in his sophomore campaign in the Majors. Over 54 games, he's slashing .213/.257/.310 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 25 RBI and 20 runs. His strikeout rate is up from 20% last year to 27.6% this year, while his walk rate is down from 8.9% last year to 6.1% this year. His .250 xwOBA on the year ranks in the bottom 4% of the league. There are a few positive signs from his underlying metrics. His .265 xBA, while not great, shows that he's got a lot of room for growth in the batting average department. Additionally, he has a strong average exit velocity of 92.4 mph, which ranks in the top 8% of the league. In season-long leagues, he may be expendable depending on league depth, but dynasty managers should hold onto him for now and resist selling him while his value has taken a downturn.
