Alec Bohm Sitting Against Nationals On Tuesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is heading to the bench for Tuesday's game against Erick Fedde and the Washington Nationals. Brad Miller is getting the start at third base and batting fifth in the game. Phillies manager Joe Girardi said that he's hoping the day off will help enable Bohm to find more of a groove at the plate upon his return. Girardi told reporters, "I just want to give Alec a couple of days in a row and maybe get him going." Through 35 games this year, Bohm is slashing .217/.245/.333 with four home runs, 19 RBI and 15 runs. Expect to see him back in the lineup on Wednesday.
