Aldrich Potgieter An Intriguing Option At The Mexican Open
1 day agoAldrich Potgieter has played in three PGA Tour events this year, recording two missed cuts before bouncing back with a T15 finish at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. He now looks ahead to the Mexican Open at Vidanta Vallarta, a course that demands length off the tee and strong long-iron play. Potgieter absolutely bombs it off the tee, ranking first on tour in driving distance at 328.7 yards and first in club-head speed with an impressive 125.75 mph average. He is also gaining 1.103 strokes off the tee per round, second-best on tour. However, his approach play has been a concern, as he has lost 9.067 strokes on approach in his six measured rounds of play. Without a larger sample size, it's difficult to fully assess Potgieter's game, but he may be the most intriguing player in the field this week. Fantasy managers should consider taking a flier on him at his $7,300 price tag on DraftKings.
