Alcides Escobar Scores Twice Sunday
3 years agoWashington Nationals second baseman Alcides Escobar scored two runs Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a double in a 5-4 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. Escobar has played in 18 games since joining Washington, and he's already scored 12 runs. He's been especially effective in his last seven games, slashing .269/.424/.423. Fantasy managers in deeper formats could do worse than Escobar for their middle infield spot, especially since he's settled nicely into the leadoff role.
