Albert Okwuegbunam Placed On Injured Reserve
11 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (hamstring) has been placed on the injured reserve ahead of the Week 17 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Eagles acquired Okwuegbuam in August to help fill out their depth chart at tight end. The expectation is that Okwuegbunam could be a possible TE2 behind Dallas Goedert. However, it didn't turn out that way as Okwuegbunam only played in four games all season for Philadelphia. His absence won't have an impact on the Eagles offense. In a corresponding move, defensive back Avonte Maddox has been activated from the injured reserve.
