Alan Roden Flashing Power In Grapefruit League
15 seconds agoToronto Blue Jays outfield prospect Alan Roden has gone 7-for-16 with two doubles and two round-trippers during his first 11 spring training games. Roden has tallied three RBI with five walks and has yet to strike out. Roden is currently competing for a spot on the Opening Day roster. However, given the depth in the Toronto outfield, the Blue Jays may opt to send Roden to Triple-A to further his development. However, this strong play will open the door for an early 2025 MLB debut. Last season, the Creighton product logged 71 games at Triple-A and posted a stellar .314/.406/.510 slash line with 15 doubles and nine home runs. Earlier in the summer at Double-A, Roden held a .263/.373/.432 line across 54 games at Double-A. If Roden continues to perform well in the Grapefruit League, he could be worth stashing in deeper redraft formats.
